We Need Your Help

Help get Cannonball Run approved at Oddyssea Outside

If you like the idea of Oddyssea Outside we could use your help. We have a public meeting with the Planning Commission for Half Moon Bay Tuesday, June 10th at 7pm at 535 Kelly Street to review a modification to our design plan adding an attraction called “cannonball run.”

What is Cannonball Run you ask (besides a corny 1970’s movie?) It’s the world’s largest marble run and a race. There are two towers with pedal powered ball lifts that propel a cannonball (well, really an 8 pound bowling ball) 20 feet into the air and then release it to race down a series of 7 ramps. The first ball to make it to earth first is the winner. See the photo above for a bird’s eye view of the attraction.

How can you help? Well, if you’re really motivated you could show up at the Planning Commission meeting and voice your support for the project. That’s a lot to ask we realize. So, you could also draft a brief letter or email in your own words that describes why you support the project and send it in to the City of Half Moon Bay Planning Director Mr. Bruce Ambo before Friday June 5th so it can be part of the discussion on June 10th. Really, any little bit of tangible support would help us and we would appreciate it.

Regardless of the outcome on June 10th, we will be throwing open the doors on Friday the 13th of June and we’re looking forward to seeing you all there!
