Explore the Coast on an E-Bike

Rent an Electric Bike at Oddyssea Outside in beautiful Half Moon Bay, California

Update: We are no longer renting Electric Bikes. One of the goals we had in expanding into the great outdoors was to work more on the “Discover” part of our tagline of “Explore. Create. Discover.” There are a number of different mechanisms we’ll use to make good on that promise and the first is using electric bicycles.

Earlier this year, we acquired a fleet of 6 hybrid-electric bicycles, each bike was named after an (in)famous pirate ship. The beauty of an electric bike is that it can go anywhere a bike can go and still provide some of the convenience of a motor vehicle. These bikes have a top speed of 20 miles per hour (~30 kilometers per hour) and can last all day in pedal hybrid mode. If you’re interested in just motoring around with no pedaling, there is a 20 mile range with a 200 lb passenger. Each bike can carry up to 2 passengers comfortably and safely. No license is required for operations, though each driver is required to obey traffic laws and wear a helmet.

These bikes are available for rent at Oddyssea Outside at a rate of $25 per hour. During the month of July, we’re offering a special of rent one hour and get an additional hour free. Mention this blog post before July 31st, 2014 to access this deal!
